I just placed my first order from The Body Dessert Shop, and I'm super-excited! The scents sound delicious, but the ones that I got were: Holly's Heart (strawberries and white chocolate - EDIBLE fragrance!) roll-on perfume, Sugar Bear (vanilla, sugar, honey...) whipped shea butter, Banana, Caramel & Coconut Cream Pie lotion sample pack, Banana's Foster whipped shea butter, Chocolate Cream Cake lotion sample pack, Sweet Strawberry Cake lotion sample pack, Tahitian Vanilla (vanilla and coconut!!) roll-on, and Rich Caramel Creme Icing lotion sample
pack. I can't wait for my items to show up!

EDIT: the URL isn't working, but it's thebodydessertshop.com

Oh gosh Becky, you have to let us know how they are. I would like to order some too, if you like the stuff. Banana Foster especially sounds good. I am also looking for a nice strawberry scent.

I FINALLY got my order (Geez Louise that took forever!), but it was sooo worth the wait. The products themselves are bigger than what I expected, which makes me happy, and have no dyes in them at all. Plus, she sent along two free items (creams in Pink Buttercream Frosting and Fresh Vanilla dupes), candy (yummy vanilla Tootsie Rolls and Baskin Robins hard candy), and wrote me a note that said she'd give me free shipping on my next order for the long wait. And she sent a recipie for chocolate mousse. I'm very pleased with the state of things.
I haven't used any products yet, but they smell divine.

I have a few TBDS lotions. My favorite is her pink strawberries, lemon drop cookie, double marshmallow delight, and ambrosia. I've tried other scents from her and they all smell chemically, besides those. I've also tried SP (scentual pleasures) and all of them smelled chemically on me. I haven't had much luck with "etailers" in general. LOL's tarts all have a chemical smell to me too. But, as far as etailers go... I've had the best luck with TBDS.

Etailers I've tried that all smell chemically.
SP
BPAL
Dragonfly Blue
Bathed and Infused
MMU
LOL
Bissy's Boutique

Any rec's for etailers that might not smell chemically to me?

Note- The etailer products themselves are great, and I LOVE etailers. For some reason to my nose I smell a single chemical note. This is my problem and not a problem with the etailers. Please don't take the above comment as a review, or a bash! Big Grin

I've tried products from these e-tailers:

MMU (only a splash via swapping)
Cleanse Your Soul (also through swapping, but prices are very reasonable)
Coconut Hut (I order from here almost every month and really love it)
Sweet Melissa's Natural Body Care (awesome e-tailer with natural products that smell great)
LemonBay Soap (reasonable prices for nice products)
The Body Dessert Shop (only a sample cream via swapping)
Skin Dazzles (only a sample lotion via swapping)
The Body Bakery (I'm supposed to be getting two creams via swapping soon)

I may have tried others, but I can't think of them right now.

I really love Coconut Hut, but I would avoid the straight coconut scents (i.e. - Coconut Milk). A lot of them smell artificial to me, but they're pretty popular with other people. My favorite scents are Cabana Boy, Frosted Cinnamon Buns, Black Cat Brownie (Now discontinued, this is the only chocolate I have ever found that did not smell artificial... I wish I would have bought more!), and maybe a few others. The prices are not too bad, but do lean on the more expensive side.

Sweet Melissa has awesome packaging, and they're overly generous on samples. You really get bang for your buck. Opening my package was like opening a birthday present!

Most people recommend Cleanse Your Soul (CYS) because of the awesome prices. The owner seems like a really nice lady too! I have been wanting to place an order with them for a while now. I believe the roll-on perfumes are on sale this month.

Forgot to note, but I also got a larger free sample of lotion in Brithday Cake. Sugar Bear, Bananas Foster, and Chocolate Cream Cake are my favorites, they smell sooo good, and a little bit of lotion/cream goes a long way. Sugar Bear has a fairly strong note of honey in it, Bananas Foster smells like bananas and walnuts.

You're welcome! Some people write reviews on these sites on their notepads, you just have to know where to look.

Also, I got my Body Bakery swap in the mail today. The cream is like nasty scented water. Don't buy it. It's what, $5 for 1 oz., $12 for 4 oz., and $16 for 8 oz.? Don't bother.

No, changed my mind. Sugar Bear is my favorite. Very fresh and honey-ish once it's on the skin. Love

Does anyone know if TBDS is going to have their extra thick body butter for sale again? It ALWAYS seems to say sold out, or isn't even on the page... It's the one that's in the 2 oz size and has the consistency of chapstick in a tub. I love that stuff. I have it in double marshmallow delight and am trying not to use it until I know I can get more.
