The hairdryer I had before my current one was a Curlmaster (brand) I bought it at Sallys, I had it for over 6 years. I was getting ready for work one day and it died, so after work I stopped at Wal-Mart and grabbed a cheap one to hold me over until I could get to Sallys. 4 years later I am still using the same one. It is a Vidal Sasoon Ion. I think it was around $15. For me personally I try to buy the higher watt ones, and I have normally had pretty good luck. HTH Big Grin

I recently bought a fabulous hairdryer! It was highly recommended by a friend of mine and I really like it. My hair dries in half the time. I bought mine at drugtore.com and I had a coupon and free shipping.

Revlon Tourmaline Ionic 1875 Watt Dryer Model RV544

Here is what the "write up" says:
For ultimate shine, volume, and healthier-looking styles.

Super quiet.
Fast dry.
Ultra lightweight.
2 heats and speeds for complete drying and styling flexibility.
Cold shot button releases cool air for setting the style.
Hinged end cap for easy cleaning.
Concentrator attachment for precise drying and styling.
Volumizing finger diffuser attachment gently dries hair while adding volume.
25% lighter than average hair dryer.
Protective rubber bumpers.
Hanging ring for convenient storage.
Two-year limited warranty.

The ionic® tourmaline styler dryer uses a patented ion air delivery system to dry hair fast. Negative ions saturate the airflow to reside the size of water droplets so more moisture is infused into your hair. This helps condition, and make hair shinier while adding volume and reducing "frizz." Internal tourmaline element delivers maximum hair-conditioning ions and far-infrared heat for ultimate shine, volume, and healthier-looking styles. Ion indicator light illuminates when ions are emitted.
