I thought since our previous MAC thread got really long, it might be nice to have a new thread to play in.

Right now, I think it'll be interesting to see Fast Lane lipstick from Rushmetal & Lull lipstick from Blue Storm. However, my wallet hopes that I'm not interested.

Silver fog sounds nice!! Was Blue Storm out before then discontinued? Tracey sent me a sample of that one and I love it! If it's the same, I'll definitely be at the MAC counter.

BTW, I got MAC pigments in Maroon, Coco Beach, and Pink Bronze today. I them! I couldn't wait to try them so I have Maroon and PB on one eye, Coco Beach and PB on the other. It actually works both ways! I can't wait until my Softwash Grey arrives!

I tried to swap for the Silver Fog pigment once, but it wasn't a succes so I am glad it's being rereleased, if in fact it's the same.


Blue Storm is very nice indeed. I have the pigment.
I just read that it'll come out in an eye shadow. I hope it's the same.

Also, Softwash Grey is also one of my favourites!
I use that most often next to Sunnydaze.

All this talk about pigments is making me want to buy some but I refuse to for the sake of my wallet

Is anyone getting anything from the Novel Twist (Nordstrom Exclusive) collection? I soooo wish I had a Nordstrom near me. I want the LE brush sets and the pearlizers with the mini kabuki brush. It's too cute!

Yes I did get bit by the pigment bug, Fryl! They have fast become my favorite eyeshadows! I love the way they look dry or wet. And it doesn't take very much to achieve the desired result. There's such a variety of colors; I am going to have to find a MAC counter FAST!

I just found out there's a MAC counter at Dillards in my local mall!

Jade, thanks for posting the link. I don't think I'll be getting any LE MAC stuff from Nordstrom but I'm usually in big trouble when all the fall collections from different brands start to come out. Nordstrom has some really neat GWPs around that time.

Lovey, have fun experimenting with the pigments. There are some really fun colours out there.
I'll probably head to the MAC counter soon as well to check out that Sensualize eye shadow that Tracey had in one of her pictures.

I finally saw a swatch for Fast Lane lipstick in the Rushmetal collection.

And it kinda looks like Pink Maribu, but w/ a little bit more purple added. I'm going to have to try it.

I think Fast Lane is a gorgeous colour. It looks like a Guerlain lipstick I have but that one is sheer so I'll definitely have to check this MAC lipstick out.

I'm hoping to make it to the counter either tomorrow or Mon. to see what my verdict on Fast Lane lipstick is. Right now, I think it could go either way. I was also surprised to find out it had a lustre finish; I was sure that it would be a frost.

I also think the rose pink shade of Revved Up pigment looks very nice. But I can't really get into using pigments.

I think the Rushmetal and Mauvement pigments look beautiful! I'm definitely going to try and get to a MAC counter.

Megan, why don't you like pigments? They can be messy, but I always put an old towel on my counter before I open them. Since I also use loose foundation, the towel serves a dual purpose.

My reason for being not into the pigments so much is that I don't have much purpose for them right now. The pigments are also big, and since I haven't fully gotten back into wearing eye makeup yet, I'm trying to take it in little steps. So the e/s's work better for me.

I totally understand, Megan. I just got back into wearing eyeshadow myself. I was strictly a mascara girl for quite a while. But now that I'm back, I'm lovin it!!

You're so right about the size of the pigments. It's important to like the color because you'll have it for a while! But the good thing for me is that I share with my daughter so she definitely benefits from my obsessions. Plus I put some in the sample jars so I don't have to keep handling the larger jar.

Thanks for the links too. That Kohl liner in Black Karat sounds good as do some of the other colors. I see where my makeup money is going.

I found some info on a minor color collection, Mattene Lipsticks. It's due in late Sept. From what I've heard, it's supposed to be like Slimshines except all the lipsticks have a matte finish to them.

I went to the MAC counter today to check out the Rushmetal collection. I ended up not liking the Fast Lane lipstick. Instead of being the gorgeous pink shade in the photo, it looked like mud.

So no damage done to my wallet for this collection. I'll be looking forward to seeing swatches for Smoke Signals & Blue Storm to see if anything strikes my interest.

I haven't been to the counter to check out the 2 new collections, but I am planning to at least order Smoke Signal pigment. I don't really care for the color but I can't miss out on a LE pigment for my collection.

I was wanting to get a Kohl Power in Feline, but I have read mixed reviews about it. I love the name more than anything. The reason I'm leaning against buying it now is because quite a few comments I've read about it say it smudges.

I'm considering Sparks Can Fly lipstick too, but I want to see the color in person first.

I'm trying my best to excercise a little more control with MAC collections. I went through all of my makeup recently and realized I have way too much that goes without much use, so I'm trying to be a little more selective. However, temptation still has a chance of winning.

I've also slown down when it comes to buying make up. I hardly use it anyway, it's pretty to look at but it's such a waste if you won't get around to using it that's why I'm trying to be more selective too.

The Smoke Signal pigment sounds interesting, but I wish it wasn't the matte kind.
Do you already have Silver Fog? Mine is due to arrive today, I can't wait for it. It looks gorgeous from all the pictures I've seen.
