Does anyone know when the next Clinique bonus is happening?

I recently got a Clinique blush (special thanks to Megan) and I want to explore their makeup line a little further.

Any recommendations? Smiler

Here's a link to search for Clinique bonuses: Clinique Bonus Search. I would bookmark this for future reference.

I did a little browsing around & here's some info I found for some dept. stores I've heard about.

Bonus 2/10-2/24:
Belk (Southeast dept. store)
Bloomingdale's
Younkers (Midwest dept. store)

Bonus 3/9-3/23:
Dillard's (Southeast dept. store)

I've found that the bonuses sometimes run a few days before the start date they issue on the calendar. They always have the start date on a Sun., but one time during the fall, the bonus started the Tues. prior to the date they had listed.

As far as makeup reccomendations, I would go with the lipsticks. gorgeous I like the Different Lipstick & Colour Surge formulas. But I have heard raves on MUA for the Buttershines & Almost Lipsticks if you're into more glossy finishes.

I ended up getting the Liquid Facial Cleanser and a new bottle of toner. Plus some cream eye liner in True Black.

I think I will probably get a lipstick or some foundation when the Clinique Bonus comes to my area mall. What colors of lipstick would you recommend?

MissV, if you are wanting a foundation you may want to check out Superbalanced. It is great for dry or oily skin. Supposedly it is their #1 selling foundation.

Miss V, I have no idea what lipstick shades I should reccomend to you. My favorite is Extreme Pink, which is a dramatic hot pink shade. I Love it, but it's not for everyone.

My advice would be to figure out what color family you like the best & work from there. Yes If you look on the website, they have the lipstick colors categorized by tawnies, pinks, reds, & violets.

I don't know what colors would look best on me. I have hazel eyes and light brown hair if that helps. I don't think I'm brave enough to try hot pink, but I do want to try out a red lipstick. Kind of like the old school glamour girls. Do you know what I mean?

Miss V, I know exactly what you mean. winking I'm not exactly the person to give advice on red lipstick. That's one of the few things I don't like about being a redhead; red lipstick looks horrid on me. Cry I took another look @ the Clinique website & they categorize reds in the "tawnies" category. what But I'd say just to go to the Clinique counter & say you're looking for a classic/vintage shade. They might have a better idea of how to help you than I would.

I can see myself using the cleanser & the eye cream. I'm kinda disappointed they put All Heart into the bonus. That's one of the colors they like to put in all the time. Crap And I keep getting that & Tenderheart confused.

Oh well, I'm hoping to go to CCO this weekend & look @ the Clinique stuff there. I need to get some more Turnaround Concentrate.

I checked on Ebay to see if there were any cheap Clinique lipsticks on sale.. but I think most of the ones on Ebay are ones that people got from Clinique bonus days. Plus they are in colors I don't think I would like. I think one was called TenderHeart and it looks almost brownish grey. Yuck. Now I'm even more clueless as to what color to get. idunno

On a side note: who else uses their three step cleanser system? I have all three pieces. But I must be the only person on the planet who doesn't like the moisturizer. what

MissV, you are definitely not alone on Cliniques moisturizer. I think that stuff is worthless, honestly I dont know of many who do like it. Of course they give that every single time at Bonus Time. I cant tell you how many of those things i have thrown out. Crap

Gizmo,

Do you use the cleanser and the toner? Or none? I must have bought a full bottle back in June and I haven't even made a dent in the thing. I might end up giving it to my mother....

MissV, I am not currently using either. I have used them though. My skin is really sensitive and the toner aggravated my face, it just seemed to burn. The bar soap worked o.k. for me. I agree the toner does last a very long time.

I was actually talking about the moisturizer, but thats okay. Thumbsup I used my new liquid facial soap in the shower this morning and I really liked it. I think I will like this better than the bar soap because I can get more oomph out of the liquid soap. Does that make sense? I feel like whenever I use a bar soap cleanser it gets mostly on my hands and not on my actual face. Oh and just a funny little tidbit. The bar soap I have now looks like a dog bone... rofl Seriously, my mother was visiting last weekend and she asked me why I had a dog bone in my shower!!! Rotflol

I don't use the lotion moisturizer, but the gel is better. I always toss out the lotion I get in bonuses b/c it's not really worth it.

I've read several posts from people on MUA about how much DDML sucks.

Hmm...I guess I'll be going to check out the Clinique counter soon. I want to see what those bags look like. Yes I'm glad they're putting some different lipstick shades in the bonus other than Think Bronze, All Heart, & Tenderheart. But the mascara is getting to be as commonplace in the bonus as DDML. Crap I have a crapload of mascaras still around, so guess what I'll be fraffling off.

The SA gave me a card with a picture of the gift. I have no idea how to scan it. I could try and take a picture of it and post it. Do you think that would work? idunno
