I'm probably going to be able to visit a CCO store for the first time next week. I'm really excited. Big Grin

I'm guessing the stuff is organized by brand. By chance, are there any testers out of the items?

I've been doing some research on Specktra & it seems they price the MAC lipsticks around $10. I'm hoping to find Pink Maribu, but I think if I come across some of the lipsticks from the Lure collection, I might be tempted to get some of those too.

What advice/info do the more expertised makeup addicts have for a recently converted makeup addict like myself?

The CCO store that I have been to is located in an Off Fifth store, so it was really small. To be honest, I wasn't really wowed by it, there were very few make up items, and the testers were gross. I don't think I saw any pigments because I know I would have bought some had I seen them. I did purchase something there, a Bobbi Brown leather brush holder.
There's a CCO in Birch Run MI but I still haven't made it there, maybe this summer.
hmmm

Megan ~ I have only ever been to 2 CCO's, one in Maine and one in Massachusetts.

yes, it is organized by brand. They do have testers available for you to try...but the items you buy are BNIB. (check the boxes just to make sure!) If you find a "LURE" lipstick...check it out...it is one of my favs Smiler

The CCo's are generally hit or miss. I have yet to find an eyeshadow i liked the 2 times I went.

They also carry Bobbi Brown and oth brands. It is a nice way to see some brands you may never see up close and in person.

Have FUN!!!!!!!

I had the chance to visit 2 CCO stores in Myrtle Beach, SC. I went to each store twice.

I didn't pay much attn. to Clinique stuff, but I noticed they had a lot of the regular skincare for a few $ cheaper than it is at the dept. store. Big Grin

They had some Stila stuff & I was surprised to see that since it's no longer affiliated w/ Estee Lauder.

I mostly paid attn. to MAC. Yes

*Stuff I Remember Seeing*
Lure collection: All lipsticks, all e/s's, both cream blushes, both bronzing powders, all lipglasses except for Phosporelle

Lipsticks: Punkin, Pervette, Snob, Lovelorn, Empathetic, Scanty, Lingerie, Plum Like, Florabundi, Zandra Rhodes lipsticks, Euroflash, Expensivo, Sol (Pink Maribu was present, but there weren't testers out for it.)

Eyeshadows: Lavender Sky, Purple Shower, Spring Up, Overgrown, Melton Mauve, Zoink Bleu, Pink Venus, Turquatic, Zeal, Beauty Sleep, Da Bling

Pigments: Lovely Lily, Golder's Green, Sunnydaze, Stonewash Gray, Azreal Blue

Nail Polishes: Luxuriator, Air, Feelin Blue, Hi Lily Hi Lo

Pinking Sheer lipglass

Foundations & concealers (most of it was NW), makeup sponges, makeup wipes, brushes

*Prices*
Lipstick: $10
Eyeshadow, lipglass: $9.50
Blush, pigment: $12-$13
Nail polish: $7
Makeup sponges: $2

I thought Lavender Sky e/s was really pretty, but decided not to purchase it b/c I had chosen Mancatcher as my purple shade. I also thought Spring Up e/s was pretty & meant to try it, but forgot. Frowner The royal purple shade of Luxuriator nail polish caught my attn. & I was about to buy it, but all the ones they had in stock had started to seperate.

I did buy some things that didn't work for me. I got Stroke Of Lust lipstick from Lure, but found that offered no tint. I also got Florabundi lipstick, but found that it was too cool of a tone to work w/ my complexion. Frowner I ended up exchanging those for eyeshadows.

I went to a CCO store yesterday. I didn't purchase anything, although I was very tempted to.
They had MAC pigments in Cocomotion, Aire de Blu, Mauvement, Copper Sparkle and a few others. They had quite a few Viva Glam palettes, and holiday palettes. I'm a little out of the loop when it comes to MAC make up, so I don't remember what else they had.

I checked out some of the Origins stuff. Their foundation felt really drying.Frowner

Other than that I didn't look too closely at the rest of the stuff. They had a lot of Estee Lauder and Clinique gift sets.Smiler

The last time I went to a CCO store was in Feb. I didn't pay too much attn. to the MAC stuff then, but I noticed they did have some things from the Moonbathe collection. As far as Clinique stuff, I noticed they had Happy In Bloom perfume & the now discontinued Foaming Mousse Cleanser.

I've never been to a CCO store. Is it worth it? How are prices there?

I read once that the discount is around 30%. I don't know if it's for all the brands though.

I stopped at a CCO store while on vacation. They had numerous MAC pigments, they also had a few of their perfumes. Nothing else incredibly interesting. I did buy a couple things though. Big Grin

*MAC pigment in Kitschmas
*Prescriptives moonbeam gloss in Constellation
*Origins Ginger set (Scrub, body wash, and lotion)

Sounds like you had a lot of fun on your trip Gizmo, which is always great! Smiler

I went to a CCO store about three weeks ago and they didn't have any pigments at all. That was disappointing. Don't know why they didn't have any. idunno I do have Kitschmas and it is gorgeous although I have to use it lightly. Smiler

Aww Lovey that stinks that they didnt have any pigments. The CCO store I was at, had 12 different pigments. Eeker It took me forever to decide.

I really do like Kitschmas, but I agree with you on using it lightly. Yes I found that out today while using it for the first time. Errr rofl

Rotflol Well at least you realized it was too much. I am very tempted sometimes to do the mama thing and lick my thumb then wipe some of the eyeshadow off some people. Crazy

Normally though, that store has pigments so I don't know what happened. I'll have to check back another day!

Rotflol Lovey, thats hilarious!!!
One of my friends has a sister-in-law who wears very heavy blue eyeshadow. Errr It looks horrible, I would love to scrub it off for her. Her eyeshadow looks exactly like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show. rofl

OH NO, not Mimi! That's not just ugly, that's scary! Eeker

I just had a thought! Instead of wiping off excess eyeshadow, perhaps I should give them an Avon catalog. They must go through a lot of shadow. rofl
