My answers:
I have 27 pairs of shoes, and I have 15 handbags.

*Shoes*
13 pairs of shoes (5 are backup pairs of styles I really like. )
3 pairs of flip flops (I really don't count these as "shoes" b/c I only wear them to the pool/beach.)

*Purses*
2 purses
3 tote bags (I don't count these as "purses". Although they're cute, I wouldn't take them to the mall w/ me. I have them around in case I need to pack something for travelling.)

Shoes:

I have 12 pairs *I think*

Handbags:

I'm only counting the 3 designer ones that I use (as my BF would like to say, i've turned into a "label whore") but I can't get mad at him cuz it's kinda true

I think I have 12 pairs of shoes and 12 purses...

I don't know the exact number, but counting tote bags, clutches, & everything else, it's probably approaching 100. BUT - I have cut WAAAAAAAAAY back on my handbag habit, for reasons of both $$ and space.

Oh - and they're certainly not *all* designer bags. I do have my fair share of designer bags (acquired back when I was more flush ), but I'm an equal-opportunity handbag buyer & like my BBW & Target bags as well.

I only own 5 pairs of shoes and *zero* handbags.
I guess I'm just not a handbag type of girl - I'd rather carry stuff in my coat pockets. I don't carry much around anyway - just a small wallet, keys, and a tube of lip gloss.

I do have a couple of tote bags that I take along if I'm going shopping, to work, or traveling somewhere where I need more stuff. I also have a leather shoulder bag that can hold a couple of books, but no purses.

Anemone, you're my hero! I could NEVER not carry a purse. I usually have an oversized tote with my just to hold all the crap that I convince myself I need to take everywhere with me.

I remember the days so fondly when all I had in my pockets were my keys and very little money. No fancy purse to carry lipstick, several lip glosses, 2 wallets, checkbook, notepad, pen, change purse, anti-bacterial hand soap, wipes, tissues, digital camera, battery backup for digital camera, gum, dental floss, perfume spray or whatever in it.

I am curious now to find out what everyone else carries in their purse.

Handbags & Assortment: Nearing 70.

In following with what Fryl mentioned what I carry in my bag (I have a cool leather ladies backpack that I usually use) is:

- Wallet (that goes with the bag of course lol)
- Checkbook
- 6 different types of pens in case the other 5 simultaneously run out of ink.
- Lipgloss
- I decant a splash into a 2oz atomizer that I take with me.
- A teeny mirror.
- Dental Floss
- A Book
- A small tube of lotion
- A small hairbrush
- Tissues
- My cell phone
- My blackberry (PDA)
- Tiny notebook
- Identification & Drivers license.
- Tiny laminated prayer for the road (I'm not superstitious but it doesn't hurt).
- Anti Bacterial gel.
- House keys and car keys
- Chewing gum.

I think that's it . The bag is pretty compact but it can fit a house inside its confines and still have room to spare.


Becky- You aren't alone...trust me! I am convinced (no matter where I go) that I need or will need everything I take with me (this happens specifically when I travel). When I get to my destination I find out I don't need half the stuff I brought, but what I DO need, I forgot to take .

Right now, what I'm toting in my purse:
-Wallet (which includes, but is not limited to: Driver's Liscense, check card, gift cards, coupons, Social Security card...)
-Keys
-Cell phone
-Checkbook
-2 pens and 1 pencil
-A one-piece hairbrush/mirror combo
-A small lotion
-1 lipgloss and 2 lipbalms
-Quiznos sub coupons
-Lip Smackers coupons
-Andes mints from Olive Garden
-Trident whitening gum
-Breathmints
-VS oil blotting sheets
-A disposable camera that I keep forgetting to drop off for developing
-A few old reciepts
-Some random pieces of folded up paper

(I also sometimes carry my lipstick in here when I'm travelling.)

None of my handbags are designer, but apparantly I'm pretty good at picking out bags that *look* like they're designer, because people are always asking me "who is your handbag?" ... which always sounds odd to me, but whatever!
