I didn't know where to put this since it isn't an actual "purchase" but more like an "expense" and figured the best place to put it would be the fashion thread .
Anyway, I got a new haircut this morning ...I re-dyed my hair a super super dark brown (almost black) and had it cut to about ear-length in a sleek bob, annnnnnd I got bangs that are at the length of my eyebrows. Very European very chic . I absolutely adore -> <- it and don't think I'll be growing my hair out any time soon. OH and this is the first time EVER that I've had bangs!!!
I need to take pictures...I will for sure (soon) .

Yay for new hairstyles!! I booked an appointment at Aveda for this Saturday. I'm getting a new style (not sure exactly what yet) and some highlights. I've never died my hair before, so this is new territory for me. But it's starting to look dark and dull, so I have to do something.
The Aveda salon here is part of the school, so the work is done by students. I've gone there before and they're supervised by teachers every step of the way. They do tend to take longer, though. Some of the students are already licensed stylists with years of experience, but they want to work with Aveda, so they come in as students. Plus, all of the services are super cheap since they're done by students. And I got a coupon at a special event they were hosting last night for an additional 20% my entire visit on Saturday!! I'm pretty excited. I'll post pictures sometime after it's done.
Kimmer, you should post some pictures of your new style!!!
Ciao! Janelle

I realllllly want bangs, but they just won't work with my naturally curly hair. I think bangs are very cute. My hair has been all one length for years and years and years. However, it's quite versatile because I can wear it up or down, so it's not like it's looked the same every day for a decade.
Kimmer, glad you like your new do! I'll bet it looks very chic!
Janelle, good luck with the highlights. I know they will look great. It's always nice to get something new done after so long. I've been contemplating doing something drastic to mine.
I received my navy shirtdress from JCrew today. I love it!! Originally, I had ordered the khaki one which is also the one I tried on in the store, but a few minutes later I saw the navy one pop up on the website, so I called their CS to find out if I could change my order. Luckily, they had my size, and the order was changed with no problem.
Not really fashion but I got two camp shirts from JCrew, while they had their additional 20% discount a couple of days ago. I think they'll be comfortable, and perfect to go camping with.
