OK, so this is kinda a 'girly' discussion, but I had to ask: What is your favorite bra at Vicky's? I've gotten some catalogs in the mail, and it seems like they've come out with a lot of new ones lately. Angels Secret Embrace, a new Ipex, and Very Sexy something or other... I also want to check out the Angels Ipex, since the normal Ipex is my favorite.

I'm planning on going into the mall next week (to redeem my BBW coupons!), so I need to know which ones to check out (or avoid).

Well, it seems to me they have so many good ones it's hard to choose! I also like the Ipex as well as the Angels Uplift and the Very Sexy pushup. I don't really think you can go wrong... Unfortunately I love VS bras and they consistently tend to ruin my budget.

One related thing I wanted to ask the women here is whether you know of any good type of underwear for someone like me who has "a lot of junk in the trunk". I was looking at this book with fashion and exercise advice for different female body types, and it said that for my figure you need to "get the best underwear you can afford" but unfortunately they didn't specify what they meant by that. I'm actually not that big, but it seems hard to find things that look good under dress pants etc. and feel comfortable...

I was actually thinking about starting a discussion on VS lingerie, but I guess Angel beat me to it.

As far as bras, I the Body By Victoria Shaping Demi. I was going to order one in spearmint when they had the save $10 off a BBV bra deal. Turns out my size was sold out. But I have a red one on the way as part of my bday gift. The one thing I dislike about VS bras are that they charge $2 more for larger sizes & that my size is not kept as well in stock. I usually have to order online b/c I can never find bras in my size @ the store.

As far as other VS things go, I the Pink collection. I guess that really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Mainly I get the t-shirts & the camis; sometimes I will buy the panties. My fave VS Pink t-shirt that I've ever bought came out last summer; it has a pink seahorse on it. I'm not impressed w/ the current VS Pink lineup; I don't like all the loungewear & I think they're focusing on the dogs too much. A little bit of focus on the dogs isn't bad, but they're just overdoing it. Otherwise I highly reccomend the camis that have the pink lace trim that criss-crosses in the front. Those thankfully are still in stock; I bought a green one w/ the pink lace trim quite recently actually. A lot of men complain that VS Pink stuff isn't sexy, but those camis w/ the pink lace trim will get a man's attn.

I also like to order pj sets from VS as well b/c they always have cute styles in around the holidays. However, in the past 2 yrs. I think they've started getting in their holiday pj gift sets in the catalog around Sept. The irony when I buy them is I usually like just the tank top or just the pj pants. I have yet to find a pj gift set where I like both the top & the pants.

I love the Body by Victoria line. I used to get unlined bras, but I have switched to lined/shaping because there is less "show-through", if you know what I mean.
I prefer the full ocverage cut over the demi ususally, because the edge of the cup on the demi can be kind of obvious under certain shirts. Don't let "full coverage" scare you ... it looks almost identical to the demi, and it's still a sexy cut. It doesn't cover everything, and you can still wear low-cut V-necks with it if you want.

Anemone, check out boy-cut underwear (the ones that kind of look like tiny shorts) in stretchy fabric (think microfiber) for wearing with dress clothes. They prevent the dreaded panty line across the backside, and the microfiber is smooth under pants or skirts. I actually have some from VS that I love. I think the key is that it actually cover your whole butt so that there are no lines.

I love my Very Sexy bras! I have two, which thankfully I bought when I still had money (and one was on sale, too).
As far as everyday underwear for 'junk in the trunk,' I'd follow Janelle's advice for boycut underwear. One downside is they tend to ride up on you (or maybe it's just me), and give a wedgie. Microfiber is good and conceals lines well, but the only way to really not worry about it is with a thong.
I love the Pink collection. Since it is marketed to college gals, and since Megan and I both love it, I think it's doing it's job. There's a new cami that is so cute and I want it. It says, "You make me feel the way I should. I'm PINK when you're around!"

I have never had ride-up problems with boycuts, but I could just be lucky.

Emma! Emma! I have been wearing this bra foe over 10 years? maybe? I have big boobs, and it is the perfect bra for under your work clothes, or working out. Its stretch lace, with a front closure..and goes up into the multiple D's!!!

I stopped out at the mall tonight to try out some of these new styles.

First off, I didn't care for the Angels Secret Embrace. The fabric is a bit strange, and it just didn't seem to fit me right. However, I heard girls in the other fitting rooms just RAVING over this one. I might go back when I have more time and try a different size.

I tried on a Very Sexy bra (shaping demi?). It looked really nice, but ummmmm, not a whole lot of support if you know what I mean.

I didn't really like the Body by Victoria Shaping Bra, either. It reminded me of my beloved Ipex, but just crappier. Pass.

I meant to pick up one of the Angels Ipex to try on, since I love the Body Ipex so much. However, when I got to the fitting room I realized I had grabbed this one:

I LOVE IT! It fits great, and has lots of support without looking like grandma! (I'm a C, by the way). It's also a more reasonable $34, as opposed to the over-the-top $45 for Ipex. Plus, Vicky's always sends $10 off coupons. I usually don't like demis, but this one seems to have a bit more coverage than most (but not too much).

I'm definately going to stop back and get that one, and I want to try out the Angels Ipex as well. I forgot my coupon today, so I ended up walking out empty handed.

BBW Manager-- I forgot to add that I already have a couple of Emmas-- the exact ones you described! They are SO comfy, and really nice for summer because they are so light. Plus, I like the way the back looks under shirts because it hooks in the front.

I should pull mine out-- I think they are being neglected at the bottom of my lingerie drawer!

Best Bra Ever! And it has fit me pre-pregnancy, post pragnancy..and now during my weight watchers phase..just keep floating between c's and d's...

Or the coupon can also be used for $5 off a Pink sweatpant. So I am going to have to stop by VS to redeem my coupon. I know I want something pink, but I'm deciding whether I should get a bikini or a thong.

VS Pink has its own website now (vspink.com). You can sign up for Pink Mail there. It looks like the VS Pink collection for fall will be fun. It's a whole bunch of collegiate themed stuff. The major themes are "Pink Academy", "In Pink We Trust", & my favorite, "Phi Beta Pink". Also it appears that the mini dogs that are free w/ any Pink purchase will be making a return appearance this next floorset. They're pink & white striped & are wearing pink hoodies. Needless to say, I want to get some mini dogs. I can put these on my swap list or use these as gift items.

The coupon for a free white Signature Cotton panty or $10 off a Sexy Sport bra still lingers around. There's a copy of that in the Jul. issue of Allure. That's good till 7/31. I've said this before, but I am really liking the new Signature Cotton panties! Well, I'm liking the new style innovations on them. I really don't care for the colors a whole lot since a lot of them are neutral or really light pastels.

I hope the free Pink panty coupon makes it way to the Aug. issues of fashion magazines. The previous coupon for the free white Signature Cotton panty seems to have popped up everywhere. I bought copies of the Jul. issues of Glamour & Vogue tonight, both of which had that coupon in there. Not to mention that I got that coupon in the mail & also in the Jun. issue of Cosmo. I wish that coupon could've been for more than a white panty. A coupon for a free Signature Cotton panty that included beige & black as color choices would've been nice. I actually wear panties in those colors.
