Becky, I got one of the $8 purses at BBW yesterday-it's the turquoise one with the floralish design inside. I saw it and fell in love with it!!! And $8 is quite a good price for a nice purse, too.

I got the pink and teal $8 purses b/c I couldn't decide between the two! Rotflol Also got a very cool bright orange one that I'm taking with me to the lake next week. It's very sturdy.

I got the last teal one at my store. I almost got the pink, but I wouldn't end up using it as much. There was also a neutral khaki/tan one that I almost got, but I decided it was too boring.

Ciao!

I have a real addiction to REAL COACH purses.
I can smell a fake a mile away. I am not a fan of the signature collection either. The fabric snags easily.
Give me the good ol' leather or suede.
I just love COACH!

Well, I was feeling guilty for buying the three BBW purses, but I'm happy to report that I've used them all at least twice. fly2

I love my new green leather purse! It's smaller than most of my other bags, but it's so cute that it makes up for it! Thanks, Janelle!

You're welcome, Becky!
I also got a new purse during our Liz Claibourne store trip. A $60 black leather bag with light blue trim marked down to $10! It's very roomy.

Ciao!

I just had to revive an old thread for this.

Earlier this week, I subjected myself to the first season of a show called Laguna Beach. It is god-awful and fake, yet somewhat addictive.

One of the characters known as "LC" was carrying around this cute-as-heck white purse. I normally hate hobo bags with a passion, but I loved this one. I loved it so much that I bought one on eBay. Here's a link to it:

No, this is not my auction. No, I am not affiliated with the seller. I just wanted to show off the purse that I bought!

That is a cute purse. It's a little to big for me though, I'd lose my keys...lol. Does it come in different colors? I bet black would be nice too.

Yeah, apparently it comes in black and brown too.

I also have been using smaller purses lately. I find that when they're smaller, you're forced to keep it clean and don't carry around useless junk. I only use bigger purses when going to the theater (I think it's obvious why Shhh ) or when I need to carry a lot of stuff, like if I'm at am amusement park.

There was an article in the paper today about how the "it" bag, to have for fall, is super huge. I don't care for large bags at all.

The article said that the hottest handbags are close to 2 feet tall and wider than a doorway, power bags large enough to topple a passerby with one swing of the shoulder. Rotflol

It went on to say that the Hermes Birkin is the holy grail of handbags. It takes years just to get on the waiting list. The price can range from $10,000 to $50,000. Eeker That's obscene even if someone could afford it!!!!

It listed two online chat forums and blogs, Purseblog.com and Handbag.com. I guess they are just as passionate about their handbags as we are to Bath & Body. Big Grin

I just have 3 so-called "designer" bags and I am happy with those. I have two classic leather coach bags in black and one in blue and a small dooney "duck bag".

I don't care who makes it, just as long as it catches my eye. I have different styles and I think every color of bags, but it seems I just keep using the same one over & over again. Bonk

I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove handbags. When I shared a household with my ex and had a lot more spending money, I ended up acquiring quite a few designer purses. I still buy purses but try to look more to the lower-priced brands. For example, I recently bought a couple of Kathy Van Zeeland handbags. Some of her designs are terribly gaudy, but every once in a while she comes out with something super cute, imo. Big Grin

I really am trying to go cold-turkey on handbags for a while. It's my worst addiction after beauty-related products. Bonk

Nolle - That's so funny b/c I read the EXACT same article in the newspaper the other day. I would never buy a $50,000 bag either even if i was a millionaire.

I looooooooooooooooooove handbags too. I have a serious flaw where I like to buy designer bags. I just got a new one recently from my BF and I think he's cutting me off after that one (at least for the year).

My purse for this month is a recent accquisition from Old Navy. A week or so ago I hit the mall and saw for $3.50 what is technically a trick-or-treat goody bag, but I bought it as an October/Halloween everyday purse. It's a pale-ish olive/grass green with a spooky looking ghost on it. And it glows in the dark! rofl It's goofy and totally me.
