I'm a purse-a-holic!!! Anyone else????

I really don't have enough $ to have a purse addiction now. There is a Kate Spade purse I like in one style & I have it in pink, green, & black. I've had the pink one for 1 1/2 yrs. & use it as an everyday purse. It's gotten a little bit beat up, so I think I may have to retire that one soon.

Although I think in the past yr., I've started developing a small collection of tote bags. Right now I have 2 from Old Navy, 1 from American Eagle, & the BBW suntote. They're so much cheaper than the other purses I have.

I have a large problem with purses/totes/overnight bags. I've got the sun tote, a cherry blossom bag, the 2004 & 2005 brown croc bags, a beat up tote that says "The magic of music warms the heart and soothes the soul," a small Elizabeth Arden purse, another really small VS purse, an Old Navy tote, a VS tote, a Harry Potter purse, and a small black purse that I got from WalMart. I had a huge VS Pink tote, but I never used it so I gave it to Janelle. I have so many, but I really only use the sun tote as my everyday purse. And I saw some more really cute bags at Walmart, and Target has super cute stuff in their Luella line.

Anan - I'm not so sure it was a good idea to start this topic. I have a huge huge huge addiction to designer purses. It's terrible

I'm not into purses at all!!! I have a Vera Bradley bag that I love and that's it. It's the backpack kind. I have to have backpacks because purses always slip off my shoulder and look silly on me when I cross it over my head. If I were to get into purses I'd want burberry. I saw a cute backpack in their pink burberry line that I *almost* bought. My friends think it's funny that I'm very "girly", but I'm not into shoes and purses. Everything else that's girly I'm into. Oh, and soap operas, don't do that either.

I love purses and tote bags, but my obsession is tempered by my budget. No designer bags for me. I love love LOVE Coach stuff, but I can't afford it.

I've found great purse deals at Kohl's, a lot of the time they have a whole section of them for 50% + off. My favorite is a black leather one that I got from there, it's pretty basic but I love it. For the last month or so I've been carrying the BBW shearling purse.

olfactorygirl, I know what you mean! I'm not into shoes either.

I try to go easy on buying purses. I have about five that I have accumulated my entire life... I'm so proud of myself. My current one has Bambi on ir. Another one I use is one that looks like leopard fur (it is FAKE - I would never wear real fur). I also have an over-sized Sailor Moon purse, but it's kind of beat-up. I only use it when I need extra room for sneaking candy and pop into the movie theater.

I love purses! However, I'm very finicky, so it takes me forever to find exactly what I want. It doesn't have to be designer at all. I just need to be able to picture myself using it! Once I do find one I like, I usually use it until it starts to show wear.

I don't own any purses. Never did. But there is a nurse on my shift who goes to Chinatown and buys fake LV for $16-30 and hauls them to work in a black trash bag to sell to the aides for $100-200.
It is very hilarious to see someone toting a fake LV filled with margerine tubs used as tupperware.
Told her she could making a killing with Kate Spade because they hot glue gun the labels on them in the back room in Chinatown shops. But I guess they are not as 'utilitarian'.
Will admit to owning a pair of men's UGG boots that were 50% off. They are so comfortable, but am afraid a patient may pee on them.

Jeff, that's hilarious about the ladies at your work. I have noticed similar things about people carrying LV bags. I suspect most of the ones I see are knockoffs.

My current purchases included a Kathy Van Zeeland belted bag in Spice....and a kVZ studded rhinestone hobo bag in Wheat. I love them both!

I have several purses that I use seasonally-go fig- but most of them I get at cheaper places. I don't own any namebrand bags. I just like things that are fun and bright. I don't know when I got so into purses, it just kinda happened.

And remember Ugg addicts..you can use an art gum eraser, to clean an Ugg purse. Or anything suede, real or faux.

I am totally against knockoffs. People who carry knockoffs ruin it for people who actually spend the money on the real stuff.

I like to get myself a new coach bag and wallet, like 2x a year- I hate the signature collection, I like the more subdued, classic bag. I just bought a luscious tan hampton tote with pewter hardware and the wallet..My mom bought me the baby girl keychain (teddy bear) and thats my Bday present to myself!

BBW's new $8 purses are so cute! I didn't see them until after I already redeemed all my coupons, but I would have gotten one if I saw it before. Maybe I'll find some on sale in June.
