I actually think that leggings are cute on some people. If I could pull it off, I might wear them.

I think leggings are cute under mini skirts, I couldn't pull them off though. They are a much better trend than the skinny jeans. Crap

Overly "curvaceous" (read: really really overweight) women who insist on wearing jeans that are waaaaay too small for them - further proceeding to make themselves look like hotdogs that are trying a little too desperately to shove themselves back into their skins.

To top it all off - they insist on wearing thongs or g-strings that are like 10 inches higher than the waist band of their jeans.

I am legally blind now thank you very much!

Gahhh Nono!

Don't get me wrong, I don't think people should be dictated what to wear, everyone has the prerogative to wear whatever they like (it's also about how you carry yourself). But do so with a little sense.

I'm not saying that chopsticks like Paris Hilton and her non-existant a$$ should sport whatever they like either (UGH) I mean that in itself is a mine field I don't have the inclination to venture out into.

I must ask however...whatever happened to common sense, style, modesty, and a little class?

Say it with me...moderation!

I totally agree with you Kimmer. I don't think people should be restricted to a certain style of clothing b/c of their size but they should make sure it looks decent before they step out of their house.

The whole thong being above your waist band thing is sooo trashy looking. It does not make you sexy! In fact I think I just puked in my mouth a little.

Moderation!

speaking of trashy, this is one of my pet peeves....

young girls..usually under 20, who are MASSIVELY pregnant and wear SHORT TOPS therefore their big pregnant belly stretch marks and all are hanging out. Nono that screams NO CLASS right there....

Jade177- We're in complete agreement Yes. It drives me batty to see some people walking around outside like they either dressed in the dark or hadn't bothered to throw a mirror a passing glance on their way out *shudder*.

ROFL @ "In fact I think I just puked in my mouth a little." -> You're a riot Rotflol winking.

Solace- SOOOO TRUE! This is something I am noticing more and more in public. I mean pregnancy is a beautiful thing and I think its marvelous that women in their pregnancy invest in feeling beautiful and desirable, but come on...please have some common sense and a little modesty. Take the time to consider what is right for you and what isn't.

This applies to everyone not just those who are pregnant, overweight, skinny, or in between.

Common sense people...again...moderation.

Leggings only look good on a select few people. IMHO, they every single one should be found and burned. It's a terrible trend.

The worst trend this year is those F------ING UGLY SHOES CALLED "FLATS." I hate those so much that my blood pressure literally rises and my eyesight literally fades every time I see a pair. Seriously, I hate those things so much. The only people who should ever even consider wearing those things are ballerinas. I mean no offense to people who like these shoes, but I hate them more than mere words can express. The first time I saw someone wearing some was back in spring, and I saw a teeny-bopper wearing some at Subway during my lunch break. I couldn't stop staring at them, and I rushed back to work to tell my manager about them. She said that they were getting in style, and then I saw them everywhere. Any time I see someone or a celebrity wearing them, I literally need to fight the urge to puke . They're not flattering in the least bit. Every pair needs to be found and burned slowly, so that they may suffer.

*ends rant*

Wendy, are you referring to those shoes that are almost entirely cloth with a thin sole at the bottom? Or something else?

Wait, do you mean flats like these??
I love love LOVE flats!! To each their own, I suppose. I love heels, too, but flats are so cute and comfortable! If you follow the link, I actually have both the first and last pairs on the page (the red ones and the brown ones), and I LOVE them. I get compliments on them every time I wear them.

Ciao!

I think ballet flats only look acceptable on certain people. They look OK on women who are 5'7" or taller or girls who are 10 & under. I did have a pair of Sam & Libby ballet flats, but I was 8 at the time. Since I'm 5'4", I need my 3 in. heels.

The big footwear fashion trend this season is dept. store knockoffs of Christian Loboutin shoes. Nine West, JS, & Steve Madden all have their varieties of these types of shoes. I think some of them are kinda cute, but I'm kinda wary of buying any b/c it's kinda trendy & I don't want to have to throw them out next season.

Examples Of Trendy Shoes For Fall 2006:
Peep Toe
Pump

Those Steve Madden shoes are OK but they look extremely painful for the feet and back....plus I'm 3 inches taller than my husband WITHOUT shoes, he'd kill me if I added another 3.75 inches!!! kickass

Flats are ok. I think it really depends on whether it goes with what you are wearing. Some people can pull it off. I haven't attempted it and don't plan to.

I'm 5'3 but I love wearing sneakers. The extra inches are nice when I wear heels but after a few hours my feet start to hurt.

I like pumps but not really peep toes. Those Steve Madden ones are totally not my style. I don't like them. I haven't really seen much of those around in Canada so maybe it's not the "in" thing around here.

I am 5'2" and I wear flipflops almost nonstop. Sometimes I'll wear a pair of heels, but usually only if it's a special occasion. My work shoes are flats and I like the flats that Janelle posted since I think they are more comfortable than heels and a lot of the time they're cuter, too.

Im 6'2" so wearing heels would be pretty weird for me. I love flats & flip flops, more comfotable than heels.

Wow Kels - you are really tall!!!!!!!!!!!! How cool!

I have hereditary osteoarthritis in both of my big toes, so I can't wear high heels regularly. I wear lower heels & flats a lot. Smiler

I also love flats & flip flops Yes for they are very comfortable shoes to wear. Heels Nono- I don't like them at all. To me it's all about comfort, and having nice looking feet. Wink
Don't ones toes get all crunched up in those heels? Rotflol
